Magnificent Antique Voltmeter

This museum quality instrument is a 500 VDC precision laboratory grade voltmeter. It is the largest and one of the most precise instruments available at the time (around 1900). The case appears to be mahogany and it is huge - almost 18" square and about 4" high. Its accuracy is given as 1/10 of 1%. There is a painted number near the bottom of the front, which may have been an inventory number, as this meter spent its entire life in a major university laboratory. Because the movement is so delicate, and it appears to not be possible to lock the pointer, this meter must be kept flat, and it is not possible to ship it. It would have to be picked up in person.
