For sale is an antique, wooden English billiards ball box and a set of billiards balls. The balls are old. The red is in good condition while the two whites, spotted and plain, have age-related wear. They are primarily for aesthetic value. The box is lidded and has a baize base. It is constructed using dove tail jointing. In the bottom of the box, beneath the cotton wool padding, were two receipt slips dating from the 1920s. They come from the Rangoon Gymkhana club which was a high-class British Empire sporting club in Rangoon. Sadly it is no longer there. It is likely the ball box originated there and was bought back to Britain when the club closed in the 1940s. The box is in excellent condition with minimal age-related wear.
